Out of the way.....yes.
Beautiful & peaceful........with-out a doubt!
We'll spend 3 or 4 days here for sure.

Our home for a few days anyway...
Even has 30amp!
Claire immediately took advantage of our 1st. hot sunny (+78*) day....
HorseShoe Beach is very quiet, but it does have ammenities even though it is a county park.
We are really enjoying our stay...
January, 26.
Claire looks west at dusk.
Boats come & go quite often here.
Our comfy little set-up by the gulf.
The Pelican was the first "local" to introduce himself so
Claire did make time to interact with the locals...
I made time to enjoy a cigar.
Jan. 21, late afternoon, it was raining so we just set-up and headed into our 5ver to rest, and eat.
The next day, Tuesday we got out into the surroundings, and the overwhelming natual beauty of this park.....have a look.
Just the strangest trees, and beautiful backdrops for the wildlife....
Check out the Turkey Vulture sunning himself against the Cyprus tree..
The wildlife here is just so abundant, we have seen Manatees, Turkey Vultures, Egrets, Turtles, huge Mullett fish that jump 2 feet out of the water, Deer by the dozen, as well as turtles, and Armadillos...
Here we are in Seffner, Fla.
This is a mega huge RV facility that goes beyond anything you could imagine.
The place was jammed, and we were told it ALWAYS is!
We stayed only one night, it was a freebie, and breakfast was included.
Here is a pic of us ready to leave, their site is: www.lazydays.com
We head out to a quieter State Park today..
OK...OK..no time for pictures, here is a look at our Rally campsite.
We will be basically boondocking here for 6 days....
Lots of stuff to do...no time to take pictures..sorry.
We did get out on the town for a few steak dinners, and really enjoyed seeing our friends David & Ute Czetli, and Charlie & Yvonne Pryor.
Trailers & moterhomes everywhere you look!
We arrive on Thurs. Jan 11
This has been a great experience for us.
We never have stayed in an Escapee Rainbow Park.
We had citrus fruits growing on trees right on our little lot, as well as large aloe plants.
Only 5 days altogether, but it was nice to be able to just sit-back and let my head-cold run it's course
It is a very homey place & well be back for sure...
We left here on Tuesday, Jan 15th. for Tampa
Mid-afternoon Monday, Jan. 8th.
Here We are, just a couple of tourists, getting here was a real ordeal, as the well known narrow streets of St. Augustine are no place to be driving around with a 60 foot long rig like ours...
No scrapes though....lucky I guess.
Arrived on the Monday, and after setting up we went to the local fish market to get some fresh Grouper & shrimps or the bar-B-que.....
After that we checked out the famous light house here built in 1871.. (see in the distance)
The Beach though is the real reason to be here...
Check out some of our pics.
Well, this SP is sweet for sure! So few people, so much sand..
Claire and I just love places like this.....
Clik on the pics to get a better look .
It was a little cool...like 45* in the morning, but by afternoon it was a comfy 65*...
It is very quiet here, people just doing simple stuff, shelling & enjoying the sound of the surf.
We met a quebec couple that camps here in this park every year for a month in a TENT!!
We stayed here 3 days, and unfortunately it cost me the price of a pretty good head cold.
Here's our site...
Good ole flying J...our stop over spot once again.
So many Quebecers here too...
The lot is jammed by 4:00pm.
Pulling out now
Well, Jan. 8th. found us at the Flying J in Brunswick, Ga.
It was sunny, but cool....(45 degrees F)
We decided to head south to St. Augustine,Fla.
Our goal was to get a camp-site at Anastasia State Park, it's great because it is right on the Ocean.
Here's a look at the scene while leaving the Flying .
