Lee State Park Road in Lamar, SC.

Well Claire & I have been here twice this summer.

Once in late July when we closed on the property across the street, and again in late August.

The following group of pictures show a quick glimpse of what we're doing here as we ty to get our own set-up ready for our RV.

Here is a look at our spot in the early morning light.

WE are parked beside "The Ranch" built by Paul & Lynda.

It was this serenenity, and calm that convinced me to purchase the 4 acres accross the road...

We have a lot of work to do before we are done!

Our good friends Paul & Lynda

Many folks recognise this man as Santa...

Here they are getting ready for their "first-pull" with their newly acquired Volvo VNL 660

The pics are from Aug. 20ieth to Sept 1st

This is a look at the main cleared area, and the clear-way for the under-ground powr-line passage.

You can see just how thick the bush is everywhere.

It was HOT there, and hard to work.

I got a dose of poison Ivy, as well a a LoneStar tick burroughed into my scalp...

I could never have done this project with-out the help of my friends, and most importantly Paul & Lynda Odom.

Their southern hospitality, and generosity made this deal happen!

The roadway, and the clearing as it gets done

The bush, and trees, mostly black-jack oak, on my lot are thick....whats worse is it is all matted together with these choker vines.

The brush pile created to clear a roadway, and RV pad clearing is so big it might take weeks to burn.

Hard work clearing the property

The heat is a big challenge.

Day after day of record setting + 100 degree in the shade temps!

Here is a few of the guys watching as the septic tank gets placed.

Yes, it is official, this will be our "some-times" winter residance..

We now have our mail box in place.
